Food Discovery Camp

At the Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development, we offer a three-day Food Discovery Camp to help children with non-medical feeding challenges explore new foods and develop healthy eating habits in a supportive and pressure-free environment. This camp is focused on helping children feel comfortable with food and mealtime experiences.

What Food Discovery Camp Offers

Sensory Play

Campers are encouraged to use all five of their senses to engage with new foods, with taste coming last.

Guided Food Exploration

We encourage campers to taste new foods through fun and engaging activities that stimulate curiosity and reduce anxiety around eating.

Positive Mealtime Experiences

This camp focuses on providing a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, helping children to associate new food with positive experiences.

Peer Support

Campers participate in group activities that promote social interaction and allow them to see their peers trying new foods, encouraging them to do the same.
